CNN repeatedly reported that there is a public perception that Democrats have failed in their efforts to change the course of the war in Iraq since the 2006 election. That assertion is false.
In the 2006 election, the Democrats did not gain enough seats in the House of Representatives or the Senate to make an efffective majority. All their attempts were blocked because they did not have a two-thirds majority.
The responsibility for that failure belongs to the voters.
